Airport Security

Security at the airport has become far stricter over the last few years, so make sure you´re up to date with the rules. After checking in, Airport Security will check your hand luggage using x-ray machinery. Only one piece of hand luggage is permitted on board the aircraft. Passengers must take off their jackets and have their electronic equipment scanned separately, including mobile phones, music players, laptops and photography equipment  (film material over 1000ASA/31 DIN should also be removed and screened separately). The machines are totally safe so none of your equipment will be affected.
.
On 6 of November 2006, new European Union hand baggage security restrictions were implemented, applying to all flights to and from EU/EEA airports. The law states that any liquids, lotions, gels, pastes, or liquid cosmetics you are carrying in your hand luggage MUST be presented at security in a transparent re-sealable bag of less than one litre capacity (these are now provided at most airports).
There is a limit of one transparent resealable plastic bag per person. Only gels, pastes, lotions and liquid cosmetics in containers of 100 ml or less will be allowed through passenger security at EU/EEA Airports, so you should place any larger bottles or containers in the bag you check in.
